Year 9 and 10 - Day Trip to Vimy Ridge, France
The MFL Department has organised a day trip to Vimy Ridge and some of the Battlefields of the Somme in France on Wednesday 26th June.
The trip is open to ALL Year 9 and 10 but places are limited to 40.
The cost of the trip is £61. Letters are also available from Miss Letocart.

Year 7 and 8 - Day Trip to Boulogne-sur-Mer, France
The MFL Department has organised a day trip to Boulogne-sur-Mer in France on Tuesday 25th June.
The trip is open to ALL Year 7 and 8 but places are limited to 45.
The cost of the trip is £55.
Letters are available from your Language Teacher.

Meapa Fusion Cheerleading Team
Jade Oni in Year 7 is currently enjoying success as part of the Meapa Fusion Cheerleading team.
As a Meapa Gymnast since the age of 5, Jade joined the Cheerleading team in August 2012, competing in both the junior and senior team. The team recently became National Champions in Nottingham in March this year.
The team will be performing at the Meopham May Day Parade on Monday 6 May 2013 so keep an eye open for them.

2013 English Gymnastics Championships
Georgia-Mae Fenton, a Year 7 student at Meopham School won 2 gold and 2 silver medals at the English Championships held this year at the Europa Centre where she trains 6 days a week.
Part of the Great Britain Gymnastics Squad, she is an elite gymnast and now the English Espoir All Around Champion, English Espoir Bars Champion and Silver medalist on Floor and Beam.
Georgia-Mae is currently training for the British Championships to be held in Ipswich and then the British Apparatus Finals in Liverpool.
Her aim is to represent her country at the highest level (watch out RIO 2016!).

At the weekend Georgia-Mae won the British Espoir Championship held in Ipswich and was crowned the British All Around Champion.

Sports Day 2012
Sports Day was again a great success. Fortunately, the sun shone which added to an atmosphere. The pupil’s effort and attitude were again fantastic. It was also good to see the spectators taking such an active part in the day by cheering and supporting fellow pupils.
The winning house in each year group was-
Year 7- Holmes
Year 8- Holmes
Year 9-Redgrave
Year 10- Rand
The overall winners were Redgrave.
Thank you again to all those staff who helped make the day the success that it was.
